The creative team of the performance turns to young people and wants to understand what shapes their values, relationships with their peers and parents. Is the young person of today designed to confront reality or does he tend to run away from it?
The main character, a young girl, goes through the worries and existential questions that arise for every maturing person. What is personal and national freedom, what does homeland and patriotism mean? Why is it important to understand the past? How can it help you live in the present?
The girl travels to the past and identifies herself with a peer teenager who was exiled to Siberia with her mother in the 1950s. There are many things that separate them, but probably also connect them. Traveling through the labyrinths of memory, dreams, fantasies and actual history, the girl faces real pain, experiences losses, but also finds herself in curious and funny situations. She matures during this journey and raises even more new questions.
Are the experiences of exile just a few pages in a history textbook that we languidly remember during public holidays? And can we be sure that our freedom is guaranteed to us?..
